Mayor Michael Walsh, resident of East Hartford for 32 years, served as the town's Finance Director (1998-2019) and later Undersecretary of Strategic Initiatives (2019-2021). He's an accounting graduate.

Since 2012, Ted Fravel leads East Hartford Parks & Recreation, with past experience at Newington's department. Under his tenure, the department saw capital improvements and increased program participation.
